I have something of a base question, but as I don't know any one in Japan, you're kinda it.

Does the exchange rate of the Yen, and how low the Yen is to the currency from where you were before help you in any way? Or is it so low that it all trades for the same value of hard goods?

What you're seeing there is a detail from a painting by Ryota Tanabe at a show called 'Off The Shelf' at Space Force (http://www.space-force.com) in Nakameguro. The next picture (of the drawing desk installation) is from a show at the excellent Mizuma Gallery (http://mizuma-art.co.jp/news_e.html), also in Nakameguro: Kotatsu-Ha by Hironori Sakaguchi and Satoru Otsuka. The photo of me in the murky room with the big pink balloon outside is an interesting new art space up on top of the same building where Mizuma is, currently showing a kind of weird manga-otaku show with drawings on Starbucks napkins etc. You have to crawl under drying underwear to see it! The little girls in yukatas are from the Ebisu matsuri, the 'fire flowers' are from the Sumida river Hanabi festival, and the moon is over a graveyard in Hiro-o. All were photographed on Saturday.

Momus, You've been wearing the same grey trousers for at least two weeks now. Time for a change!

That's not true, Mum, until last Monday I was wearing the breeches you see in this little photo, then I switched to the pirate pantaloons. Right now I'm wearing a yukata, because I'm in Osaka and it's too hot for trousers.

i had an awful day listening to your music once, i was lying alone in a grassy park listening to your music for around an hour, and i felt dreadful.

i don't think it was because of your music but it just happened to be there.

tomas

If there's a subject or an event you know and care about, write about it and submit it to the magazines and newspapers you read and like. There's a chance they'll run it, especially if you can do it in their house style.
