Date: 2007-04-23 08:50 am (UTC)Personally I'm not a fan of the kind of cruelty you get in japanese porn, either from an aesthetic or from a personal perspective. It's one thing to have submissive women (and say of that what you will), but it's something different to go for the unmoving doll you tend to find in Japan. I can understand why some folks would like timid or even frightened women (just as I can understand why people would like not to admit to understanding it), but the petrified terror or "sleeping" girls speaks a bit too much of childhood abuse and violent voyeurism. Albeit from an american perspective, but it still pings all the wrong sensors.
