Well, Hisae and I dutifully took in the Pictoplasma Character Walk (it's not the characters who walk, but the punters, forced this year to pound miles of Berlin sidewalk to find all the participating galleries), but the work on display was underwhelming. Even David Shrigley's film (about a nutter who lives in a swamp) seemed a bit mainstream, stale and forced. The one exception, though, was Mehdi Hercberg's Shobo Shobo drawing show. Brilliant stuff, with tons to look at:

Infantile is the theme for this week. Sometimes cute, sometimes pathetic (as here), sometimes bordeline criminal.

Enough already. Move past the Anal stage and start painting angels again.

The drawings shown here are an another example of the old art school genre, "affected eccentricity".

With a heavy helping of "contrived barbarism". Particularly popular amongst the gullible urbane.

"What did the bad man do to you, Tommy? Show us. Paint us your feelings right now."

"As I expected. Titian's been at it again."
