Okay, I'm not really in the latest edition of FRUiTS. But we can all dream, can't we?

yes, despite it's shortcomings, that site totally made me want to visit Finland [also to visit my friend in Aavikko :)]

The pulchritude of your new icon is distracting to the hucklebone. There, I said it.

I should add that the appeal is mainly callipygian rather than bathycolpian. But then, as Marie Antoinette might have agreed, more than what might fill a champagne glass is too much. ;)

We can only hope the Arctic Circle dandies will one day outnumber the fifties doo-wop guys, japanobees and Hanoi Rocks clowns.

It would appear that you (http://brightshiny.thejetsetjunta.se/?p=30) and I (http://brightshiny.thejetsetjunta.se/?p=27) are both featured a Scandinavian blog. I've always wanted my name up in northern lights. ;)

i surrender. i simply must acquire your digital friendship! and perhaps book recommendations!
badminton--a noble sport...perhaps even beyond the semantic realm of 'sport'! Somd friends from high school made a song and video on the topic...
"When I say 'bad',
you say 'minton'.
Bad! Minton! Bad! Minton!"

I was mesmerized by the Olympic badminton finals a year or so ago: The elaborate choreography in conjunction with the barely visible shuttlecock, nets, and racquets resulted in an absurd ballet. It felt more like an formal yet improvised performance dependent on props rather than a sport. Curling captured my interest during the last Winter Olympics for similar reasons.

My first recommendation for spring reading: Italo Calvino's The Baron in the Trees
