A day wandering around Paris with Momus and Toog, Florence and Hisae. With Rinko Kawauchi, Sofia Coppola, Donald Sutherland, John Lennon and various dandies and Segway riders in the role of extras.

From now on, Hisae will probably like the Japanese image of Paris better than the real thing. 'What? This is not as romantic as Paris is portrayed in Tokyo! There are cigarette butts, puddles of mud across the kerbs and dog poo everywhere!'

hmm. The real Paris seems much more intriguing actually, than the one portrayed in Japanese pop. I never would've imagined the Trendy Hijab or Montparnasse Dandy on my own.

West African and Congolese gents, correct? One of their number has been in hot water of late, I recall.

The European dandies are likely found about the Marais.

I just can't believe how piratey you are. I've been pretty piratey once, when I got stabbed in the eye. (by a doctor, no worries)
Sadly, the wound healed so I had to return bein just another mortal. :(

For anyone curious about Fumiko Imano, there's a nice film of her here (http://ashadedviewonfashion.free.fr/videos/chapels_fumiko.htm).

Also, more on Pierre Takahashi, who made the music for the Rinko Kawauchi slideshow at the Fondation Cartier. His website is here (http://www.pierre-record.com/). And here's (http://www.pierre-record.com/p7/toukyou%20no%20omoide.mp3) a track of his called "Memory of Tokyo". There's a photo (http://members.aol.com/garou03attic/za/kk.html#Anchor882967) of him on my friend Keiko Tsuji's site -- he played at her opening.
