Hans-Jürgen Syberberg's excellent Hitler: A Film From Germany (1977) is posted on his website in its entirety, in a choice of English and German versions. Have you got anything better to do for the next 410 minutes?
Thank you for posting the link to the Hans - Jurgen Syberberg site......I just finished viewing the first part "The Grail"....it was excellent! and I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of this film....I'm going to view one part each night this week until I've viewed this film in its entirety....it's interesting to see Syberberg's approach to this film, it differs from most conventional approaches to films about Hitler by using dialog, visual metaphors and little movement in imagery, causing you to really listen.....on the Hitler issue, I just recently saw an excellent documentary directed by André Heller and Othmar Schmiderer called - Im toten Winkel - Hitlers Sekretärin (aka Blind Spot, Hitler's Secretary).....they used a no frills approach to this documentary film, the film was just the camera on an 80yr old woman sitting in a chair by the name of Traudl Junge...the film depicts her telling her personal story of Hitler....an excellent film, that I recommend of this woman's first hand account of who and what Hitler was like in private.
I'm sorry to revive this dated track, but has anyone around here been able to download and save the movie? If so, would it be possible to send me a copy? Thanks, Christian
see you in 410 minutes
