Wheatpaste observed

Berlin Wheatpasting, my first blog piece for Design Observer, is now up. I was afraid DO's readers would find my rather breathlessly enthusiastic endorsement of semi-legal Berlin flyposting naive, yuppie-ish or legally irresponsible, but so far the comments are positive. Well, comment. There's only one.

Why would it be yuppie-ish to be enthusiastic about semi-legal flyposting? I don't see the link.

it's yuppie-ish (pretentious without really thinking about the complete ramifications) to look at street art and say, "my, isn't that distinct and exceptional." whereas many working stiffs would despise it for dirtying up the streets, being non-commercial work, giving kids something to do that isn't very controlled etc.

It's a good article Momus, but other than that I don't have anything to say. Sorry.

I kind of foresaw something like this would happen! When Momus said "well, comment" it was kind of ambiguous because it could be misconstrued as an order... Momus could have said "well, the one comment there is at the moment is good" but he might have been in a rush to get to the airport!

Chromophilic.

You've successfully installed yourself in my dreams, Momus. I dreamed you were my Spanish teacher and I had to give a rather late presentation about a movie I watched. Then I wanted to talk to you about something you posted on this site but you brushed me off because you had to rush off to some appointment. I vaguely remember writing comments about the other students' presentations with some pen that spouted multi-color ink. The classroom, of course, was very colorful.

well, it is a bit behind the times, but it was a nice piece. i really like the name "the simultaneous brothers". if you haven't taken a look here, you might.

a great database.
my main problem with all of this stuff is that it just seems to be fairly meaningless, so to replace meaning, MORE has become the standard.
