Secret and free

imomusListen, this is a secret, okay, but there's a Momus show in Berlin tonight, the last show he'll perform this year. It's a really short one, just some songs at a clothes store opening party. It's free, but it's secret, so don't tell anyone, okay? The store is called Belleville and it's a new venture by Rika, one of the girls who ran Little Red Ridinghood on the Friedrichstrasse.
Belleville is at Rosa-Luxembourg Str. 27, just opposite the Babylon cinema and near the Volksbuhne. You can see it on the map here. Momus will be performing at around 7.30pm. But here's the thing: there are already too many people coming, and there'll be no room to move in the shop, and you'll probably have to stand outside in the cold on the sidewalk, with your nose pressed against the glass of the window. So the Belleville people have asked me not to tell you, and I'm not, okay, all I'm saying is, if you happen to be in Berlin, and in Mitte specifically tonight, don't even think about coming, okay, and don't tell anyone about what you read here today, okay? Keep it under your hat, okay? Forget I said a word about it. Nice hat, by the way.
Hey, if you are in Mitte tonight, there's something you could do instead. Just around the corner at Torstrasse 72 is Staalplaat, a record store that recently relocated to Berlin from Amsterdam. Anne Laplantine is doing a free show there at 8pm.
