Japan teens skipping breakfast have sex younger

(Anonymous) 2009-12-29 02:12 am (UTC)(link)
Teens who skip breakfast as middle school students tend to have sex at an earlier age than those who start the day with a proper meal, a government-backed Japanese medical researcher said on Friday.

I told you this would start to happen!

I like these new tracks a lot, especially the bit in Bowie in Fear and Loathing where the bvox go "toot toot" and the Korean girls sing:

Bowie peels the jungle balls
Pretty little petals fall
TOOT TOOT
Bowie in fear and loathing

and then snaps into that unlikely 3/4 interlude with the gongs.

no you didnt

I think this is the first (and last probably since this blog is ending soon....) anon post that was freaking LMFAO funny.

you crazy funny mon.

so, I have no idea what this post is about but I love the photos with the words....

but heres the question.

the pussy is 'nothing' but a 'void'

nothing = void... yes? no? mostly the same right?

so we're saying the pusssy is nothing but nothing? basiclly?

thats fine.

"nothing but" = "nothing other or more than what it is then equated with"
In this case it's a statement provocative of either mysticism(the black egg, black country rock similar to the "blackness" in the mind/internal systems; starry faced virgin, mother of god = space/void) or mysogyny(mal-reductive). Or even reassurance ("don't be afraid of it" stated much in the same way as when talking to a child about the inevitable arrival of death). I'm guessing we don't see much of this kind of stuff here because it's unwelcome... "pseud" talk, aha.

yes yes.... I was playing a similar game but trying to twist the words... to the opposite place...

that is, twisting a very 'zen' statement into a humorous 'non' statement. Sort of playing dumb.

but yes... this reminds me of Georges Bataille (Story of the Eye, etc) and his endless musings of this sort of thing. Or almost any french writer I guess. which I love.

but back to "nothing more then a void" idea,
the void is sort of the ultimate mother of mothers.
past the possible. So, I believe the statement would work better as,,, "pussy is the void."
There is no mincing of words, there is no, 'nothing more then' kinda stuff.... it either is or isnt not. Come to think of it... even "is" and "the" dont really work with the idea of the Void actaully.

I think it best way to state this idea simply is:

PUSSY VOID

dont you think?

PUSSY VOID! My new band name (if I didn't not-have a new band)!

For some reason I really want you to have a new band and be really psyched about it!! That would be an awesome parallel universe.

Pussy is ma both in the maternal sense and the Japanese sense of meaningful negative space. It's the "nothing" around which everything is arranged -- like Tokyo around the imperial palace --it's the void from which comes all substance.

(To be read in Camille Paglia voice.)

Do you know that your term "post-materialist" appears in Zizek's latest book? I'm afraid it's used critically. Do you think he reads the blog?

[identity profile] imomus.livejournal.com 2009-12-29 12:42 pm (UTC)(link)
I didn't invent the term post-materialism; it's been used for decades by -- notably -- Ronald Inglehart.

Would love to think Zizek was a Click-lurker, though.

Wow, yr ip even tracks to WYLING, Slovenia

I think Zizek was just making a basic ontological statement about his being-in-the-world, not necessarily admitting to reading this blog, or reading-this-blog-in-the-world.

That's nice.

sorry to bust in your journal like this;
but how did you make those photos? with a polaroid camera or something like a fuji instax?

it looks beautiful!

[identity profile] imomus.livejournal.com 2010-01-02 02:16 pm (UTC)(link)
They were taken with a regular digital camera, a Fujifilm Finepix F100, then colour-corrected in Photoshop.

[identity profile] imomus.livejournal.com 2010-01-02 02:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, you mean the original pictures Izumi took of her flower arrangements? Apparently it's a very cheap Polaroid camera.
