A satire on all the worst features of every crappy American style magazine out there. I must say I'm looking forward to it. I offered them the exact same article I was writing for another American magazine. It would have run in Vice as self-attacking satire and in A.N.Other Magazine totally straight. That would have been superb, but probably illegal or damaging to my future as a writer. I also offered an article on 'a hot pink youth culture explosion on the streets of an Asian city', but nothing came of that either. Okay, I'm off to read the issue now, and see if it lives up to the mega-meta promise of its fabulous concept.
You know, reading this I'm thinking about the Uncanny Valley again. There's a very deep hole between the hip and the unhip, and this issue is right down at the bottom of that hole, digging.
