Farewell, new world!
Later today I leave New York and fly back to London, where I'll be battling jetlag to record The Momus Story for Cherry Red TV -- an epic interview about my music career destined to thunder in the annals of anal alongside The Alvin Stardust Story and The Jim-Bob Story. (I love you, Cherry Red! I love how you care!)

This month, for me, though, has really been The Aki Sasamoto Story. I spent the first half of the month dressed up as a kabuki stalker, pursuing Aki around an art gallery, and the second half being pursued by Aki, now herself dressed up as a kabuki stalker, around rock stages. I had an inexpressibly wonderful time. Thanks, Aki, and thanks America!

it was great seeing you and Aki. Really inspiring show at the art gallery. Really really great combo.
Sorry about all the street signs, and people in uniforms prohibiting you from doing things, and especially sorry about the bus driver that yelled at you.

All visitors to the country while away their hours there and then go out for a few jolly good dust ups!

(Anonymous) 2009-05-29 09:12 am (UTC)(link)Nick - is there any chance of another Vodka Jellies type compilation? You must have lots more songs that you haven't put on a cd, and it is a pity to think of stuff like Erostratus and 7th Wife not having a prioper release.
