I always find other peoples' workspaces fascinating, my own usually being something of a magpie's nest of tools, gadgets, balding brushes, makeshift improvisations which often work better than the shop-bought version and oddments which are 'bound to come in useful'; all crammed in to the smallest possible space.

This 550 pixel format isn't great for detail, and in pictures like these cramming and clutter are everything. Well, almost everything; I like the combination of fluorescent lighting and dark wood in most of these spaces.

I love the ingrained fragrances - in my old studio there'd be the distinct pungeancy of wet clay overlaid with incense, the lingering hint of hot wax (used on the bases of pots so they don't stick to the kiln bats), plus fresh ground coffee or maybe something cooking on the stove. The new studio merely smells of paint at present!

I didn't see these until today--divine! These are some of my favorite Momus photos, especially the top two. I simply cannot explain exactly why, except I want a workspace like those, too.
