I had no idea you are related to Justin Currie!

I met him in Chicago in the early 1990s and used to go to all his gigs until I moved to the UK. (I doubt he would remember me, though he used to guestlist me).

Lovely guy!

So cousin Justin got the good hair genes... Your mother looks incredibly young, given how old she must be to have borne late-forties you.

Your dad is copying your hairstyle, circa the second picture, but on the Phil Oakey side.

Do your parents know that you get your cock out on LiveJournal?

Momus's parents seem like free-thinking Fabian types. I'm sure they've been following with rapt attention their gansha-loving son's thoughts on the demise of bukkake porn...

Are you wearing an Indian Kurta... with crocs?

That tassle thingy you're wearing in the second photo is cute. It's like a pink himo.

Is that Doune Terrace - by the nursery?
Don't tell me it's Ann Street!

It was nice of your cousin to pose for a photo with the waiter.

Nice pics. As another ex-pat living abroad for most of my adult life, I know it's special when you get a rare chance to see your folks again.

Now how's about a few shots of you and your old man in the language lab for old times' sake! ;-)

Not sure it was really wise to pose with cousin Justin, Momus. Not only has he sold more records than you, he's also aged better than you!

Yeah but Justin's bland pop-rock makes Momus substantially cooler and more interesting as an artist, so it all balances out in the grand scheme of things.

Aw, you and the cuz. Last time I saw Justin I was tempted to ask after you but... he's so uncynical these days, I wasn't sure I could believe anything he'd say ;)

Justin's music would not be my thing but I have to say I admire his magnanimity of spirit considering some of the Click Opera flak he has endured.

Dear Momus,
I hope you don't regret to have have drunk people to adore you. We currently are playing 'Is it because I'm a pirate', since we're having a pirate party, a theme fest. It's great, except for the eyepatches. I'm wondering where you get them from, because ours aren't fitting really well. Do you buy them from the eye specialist? Commericially published eyeptaches are shite! Plus: hang on, you're one of the big geniuses of the geniuses of the past few decades.

x, sincerely,
Us.

Thank you!

My girlfriend makes the patches, she just cuts a big shape out of felt then sews a piece of knicker elastic to it!
