My latest Frieze column sees me downloading 20GB of blockbuster art television series from filesharing services and pondering whether art has outlived TV -- whether the paint tube has outlasted the cathode ray tube.

Read more... (oh, and yay art, and yay Obama!)

And what would this "semi-legal filesharing service" be, hmm? Usually if I don't want to download a program for filesharing (which is always), I use megadownload.net, which searches Megaupload and Rapidshare quite extensively for files that have already been uploaded to their servers. Very convenient!

I'll only say that its motto is "seja marginal".

(or filestube.com which provides more results from other filesharing sites or blogs, though not as accurate since I got a Snow Patrol song after searching "Momus")

that's hot.

I saw a series on contemporary art on British television some time after coming back from Japan (2003), which was absolutely the worst art series I've ever seen, but I can't for the life of me remember what it was called now. Oh well.

I would like to see more art tv and less tv about art.

Looks as though we're revisiting the post-bit atom theme.

Today's takeaway phrase: "hot-panted perkiness".

Any noted emphasis on gigabytes, the word or the measure, is always a pleasure for me.

Obama is CLEARLY the best choice. I volunteered quite a bit of time for him over the last year, sometimes even taking my 4-year-old daughter with me as I canvassed door-to-door in Reno.

One time, we ran into a woman who was a HUGE Hillary supporter. When my daughter heard she was supporting Hillary she (spontaneously) said: "Hillary Clinton, thumbs down! Barack Obama thumbs up!" The woman quickly shut the door.

In the following pictures (taken at a precinct captains meeting), I'm telling Obama about this and he's pointing to my daughter saying, "That girl is going to get me some votes."

This next photo was when I met Hillary Clinton at the beginning of the campaign in April 2007. This is when everyone was telling her she should say her Iraq vote was a mistake and she was refusing.

In this photo I've stopped her along a rope line, asked her to take a picture, and right before it was taken I said: "Smile and say mistake." She was not happy. Oh, and she has cold hands.
