I'm in Paris, where I'll be reading chunks of Genesis in French this afternoon at Gilles and Flo's wedding.

Unrelated, but possibly of interest: here's the podcast of my session last week for the WNYC show Fair Game. I sing three songs, Erostratus, Beowulf and Mika Akutsu, and talk a bit.

I like the "Mika Akutsu" performance.

Perhaps one day we will worship you like this:

The video I was talking about was this one (which I hate immensely by the way):

Oh, I agree. That song is adorable. There was this "Mika Akutsu" live clip floating around a year or so ago, with really simple but fun choreography where our hero was doing a kind of nintendo "wii-clicking" gesture in the air. Stuck in my head for some reason.

Will those chunks be sourced from the biblical Genesis or the prog-rock Genesis?
Enjoy your day.

Although I'd be fine with both (I shelled out for their reunion tour last month!) I'm also a slight bible translation nerd and am curious what French version of the Bible it is.

Surely there has to be at least one reading from the Gospel of Rem. (http://www.amazon.com/S-M-L-XL-Second/dp/1885254865)
