Describing my sister's (second) wedding yesterday, I said "Hisae and I dressed as the king and queen of Bhutan". (Actually, the real king of Bhutan is the one in orange here. He's apparently abdicating in 2008, so the position will be vacant.)

My gear was from an Indian store on the Karl-Marx-Strasse in Berlin, Hisae's from Armstrong's, a thrift store on Edinburgh's Grassmarket. Here's how we looked in my mum's living room on Saturday afternoon, just before the ceremony. Click the picture for a full-sized Hello magazine-style supersoaraway pull-out cut-and-keep version.

"You really shouldn't be upstaging your own sister on her wedding day..." retorted [livejournal.com profile] kumakouji.

Ha! You don't know my sister! Nobody upstages my sister! That's the first thing them thar actresses learn at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama -- how not to be upstaged by your brother! More photos (including one of my sister) at my Flickr page.

Don't you ever get bored of talking about yourself and your sartorial wonderfulness? Weren't there any interesting people at the wedding? Tell us a bit about your sister at least, she looks quite sexy.

I spent most of the time at the reception whizzing up and down the stairs chasing Ellie, who had stolen my eyepatch for the umpteenth time.

That's yer lot -- I'm certainly not going to tell you our private family gossip. How's Texas?

Momus, you've made that "Texas" joke about three times already. The Guardster proxy servers may well be located in Texas, but I'm not. Get a grip!

Quite interesting when you google Emma Currie. Seems like she's a sort of acting equivalent of Momus (unsurprisingly). Never made the big time, so has taken a sidewards step into peripheral activities. Only her peripheral activities are about theatrical role playing for corporate clients like BP! Hmmm.

Hisae looks fantastic... you're a pair of black trousers away from a great outfit...

Oh and I dont believe you when you say you didnt upstage your poor sister. and I couldnt help grinning when I saw this photo:

How awkward does that guy next to you look? Him, all in his grey suit and you, in Indian drag.

You were an elephant in the room" (http://www.banksy.co.uk/indoors/images/la_tai4.jpg) at that reception, I'm sure of it.

He might be your sibling but that probably didnt stop him feeling slightly embarressed at seeing his brother in drag.

my brother and I, we're like chalk and cheese... I'm getting that same vibe from you and your bro.

Also if you knew anything about Momus you would realize his family has seen weirder, like when he was in Scottish tabloids for helping his teen fiancee escape Bangladesh.

I did something similar myself when I was at my aunt's yesterday for Mother's Day here in the States. I was pulling a Lord Whimsy while everyone else was in t-shirts and jeans, and other plain-clothes.

However, I didn't have a sister to counter-balance my dressed-up state. Yours is gorgeous by the way!

Take it from someone who knows: After the first four years of clothing posts, the bitterpusses tire of firing their cheap shots and fall away. It's just a question of not losing your nerve.

Congrats to your sister, Nick--may they have many happy years together. Your paw looks tastefully disheveled in the gray and pink (although I liked his hunting tweed suit more--that thing sent pangs of jealousy down my legs).

I usually am rather enthusiastic about your playful garb, but those pants are hideous.

Nonetheless, the both of you are always quite fetching.

I was going to sell a bunch of my old Colours mags for food tonight, but I decided that would be foolish...

Hisae is 153. We can easily make mistakes in a dark room containing both our girlfriends... Playing "pin the tail on the donkey", for instance.

actually, I'm 153cm as well
We also have roughly the same amount of hair on my scalp, length wise.
oh my

In last nights dream I went into a dark room with my friend/ex-receptionist at work. Then we visited an old man (that looked like Araki) who showed us his $100,000 piano. a giant animated cardboard crocodile crashed through the wall and dragged him away.
