Here are some of the musical events I'll be playing and attending in Japan and Hong Kong over the next couple of months:

Sunday August 8th: Momus performs at the Placard event in Yoyogi Park, Shibuya, Tokyo. This will be a performance of the 'Summerisle' material. Momus onstage at 1900 (the outdoor stage, Yoyogi Park, just beyond NHK Building).

Tuesday August 10th: Momus attends the warabimochi event in Omihachiman, Siga, near Kyoto. This warabimochi tea party concert (with performances by a Sado teacher + PHIRIP + Yuko Nexus6) has been organised by the wonderful Phirip, a big fan of the traditional Japanese cakes. 'Bracken rice cake is eaten appreciating the electronic music/performance on the theme of tea in a tea party.' The event is from 10am to 4pm. You can see Phirip in this video.

Wednesday 18th August: Momus does mp3jing at the Digiki event in Osaka. Club Stomp, 18:00-23:00. 1000 yen for 1 drink. Club Stomp is at Shinsaibashi, Osaka.

Sunday 22nd August: Another Phirip event in Siga. This time it's an architectural guided tour of 'Japanese red light place and little old building'.

Sunday 29th August: Momus concert at Gallery Soap, Fukuoka, Kyushu.

Friday September 3rd: Momus live in Hong Kong with The Pancakes. Address: Fringe Gallery, 2 Lower Albert Rd, Hong Kong, China (Phone: 2521-7251).

Saturday September 4th: Momus live in Hong Kong with The Pancakes (second night).

Saturday September 11th: Momus live in Tokyo, Club Que, Shimokitazawa. This is the real Momus Tokyo show, featuring material from the forthcoming album and old stuff.

Tuesday September 21st: Momus concert at Club Noon (Osaka). The event is titled 'Dedicate monument to obscure poets', and promoter Tetsuya Matsukawa's text is poetry in itself:

The explorers in mirage, great chefs of deserted castles,
Philosophe of chaos, architect of the soundscape,
Historical spectators, bedside dreamer,
Crotchety warman, supporting cast in masquerade.
They look somehow familiar, but we've never seen them.
It's important to know that their words draw down each epoch.
Well, we would try to chronicle the history of their poets.
Here are monuments.
