An interview in a lovely accent

The blogbabes Eremi and Thessaly from Columbia University have published the first part of their interview with me at their blog, 2nd Law, chiding me slightly en passant for calling them "blogbabes"... only to disagree between themselves on whether saying they were "charmed by my lovely accent" was, itself, "objectifying"! Baby, if you've got it, flaunt it!



The New York Times interview I did the same day was due to run this Sunday, but has been put forward to April 2nd. Other appearances: on Saturday April 1st at 6pm I appear in a panel discussion at the Whitney entitled "Fugitives: objectives, practices, communities". And at around 5pm on Sunday April 16th I'll sing for 20 minutes at PS1 in Queens.

The photo above is courtesy of C. Depp, whose band Precinct 9 plays tonight at the Blu Lounge in Williamsburg at 9pm. I won't be there; I'll be in Dumbo seeing The Emperor Jones by The Wooster Group.

hm. good read, though this makes me want to interview you myself. i have no qualms, however, about effusively expressing that your accent nearly murders me with its soothing & seductive cultural cadences. i probably wouldn't shut up about it. and then i'd start blabbering about how cute Baker is or something.
hmm. i remember when i had a radio show in NYC, before I met you, I wanted to try to have you as a guest....maybe in May I can do a bit on my blog at least.

Interesting pic. You look like a bohemian pirate-priest, megaphone vibrating with the thunder of your utterings. Haa!

Further: the dark canvas behind you looks like the spot of yin emerging in a sea of yang, while the position of your head places you as a herald of the "new era" so to speak, the transition of states. With your feet invisible as the trunk of a tree well embedded in the gray band of the earth. And three buttons, like the belt of Orion. Or the holy trinity. Or a simplified sequence of chakras. And your bemused expression, neither happy nor sad. And your hand in your pocket, a note on the casual and humorous side of the fundamental deity...
