I just got a copy of the "Anyone Else Isn't You" catalogue from a kind friend in London that picked one up for me.
I like your piece....especially the line you borrowed from Robert Bly "The foul rag and bone shop of the heart". That's always been my favorite line of his. I will chalk it up to a Marianne Moore style of using found language and inserting it in her own poetry.
Hopefully not George Michael's new release! It's his birthday, today, by the way. Happy birthday, George.
Looking forward to the pictures from the exhibit, of course. Wish you'd come and play out in Minneapolis. Minneapolis is quickly becoming a very Asian city, if that's any incentive.
But really it's a selfish request. "Red Pajamas" is one of my favorite songs ever.
Oh, I should add that if you come between 1pm and 6pm you'll see the actual performance we're doing! But as I'm in a sort of shamanic trance during the performance I can't speak to anyone while I'm intoning and incanting.
i'll be there next saturday i believe. i live in new jersey and have to get my visa in order before i cross the bridge. the website, though it states you'll be performing 5 hours a day doesn't state what time this'll take place. i'll be seeing you at tonic also. it's great that you're in ny.
I'm totally jealous because I can't go. I'm stuck in a location although on the same continent, not quite within walking distance. Hope the show goes really well (and I know that it will) and I will be there in spirit if not in flesh!

Concerts in NY?
Date: 2005-06-25 05:06 pm (UTC)I apologize if this has been asked before, but while you are in NY, are you playing any shows?
I'd kill to see the Otto and Oskar songs performed live . . .
