I don't read blogs to look at photos bloggers post of themselves, male or female. There's one female blogger I follow, Infinite Thought, who I don't have the faintest clue what she looks like. That kind of narcissicism doesn't particularly interest me in men or women, so I don't buy your sexism argument.

And I'm not so sure the depiction of the narcissist as supremely self-confident is all that accurate either. It can also be a sign of insecurity. I get the distinct impression that you're not especially happy with your looks, Momus. You certainly rarely photograph yourself without something, a wig or a hat or a hairpiece, on your head, which makes me think you're none too comfortable with your lack of hair, for example.
