By the way, for anyone in New York, there's a Momus / Aki Sasamoto performance tonight (http://kunstverein.us/theprompt.html) as part of The Prompt, an event in the Performa Biennial. The performance is called Salty Donuts, and Aki will do one of her performances, interrupted and guided by recorded, randomly-played spoken-word instructions from me, cutting in approximately every three minutes.
It runs from 8pm to 11 (with other performances) at:
The PROMPT (a night club) White Slab Palace 77 Delancey Street New York
and there's also an hour or so of music I've curated specially for the evening being played (featuring Atrium Musicae de Madrid, Paul Lansky and Miharu Koshi).
(Space limited – rsvp to theprompt@kunstverein.us)
Look out for Ashley Rawling's excellent six-page feature on Aki Sasamoto in the current edition of Art Asia Pacific (http://www.aapmag.com/) magazine.
