imagine some bloke walked round your neighbourhood telling all the kids that father xmas didn't exist. If you complained, he could very well say 'its a free country, I can say what I like'. You'd have to agree, but I'm sure you'd also tell him that he has missed the point of living in society, he has indeed the right of free speech but was wrong to exercise it in this way. I would not defend the right of such a person to free speech; the ins and outs of his legal rights are not as interesting and valuable a discussion as -and this to me is where we need to move -whether he was correct to use them in that way. And this whole line is what you are unable or unwilling to take on board ....
