imomusMy good friend Toog, aka Gilles Weinzaepflen, has assembled a short video of my reading at La Société de Curiosités in Paris last Wednesday:

You can hear me (or rather my computer) reading the same chapter in English here. The chapter is based on this song, sung here in 1978 by Angelo Branduardi, but with Jewish or German origins and symbolism lost in the mists of time:

In rather the same way that I've drifted from making electronic songs to making books, Toog has drifted from making electronic songs to making films. Here's a trailer for Prélude au Sommeil, Toog's documentary about electronic music composer Jean-Jacques Perrey, who's now 80 years old:
