I was rather amused by this inappropriately wintry, inappropriately European, inappropriately cute poster produced for last week's Highline Ballroom show in New York. Not sure who the artist is (could it be Dutch Eric?), but I look like Tintin heading to the library.

The Cherry Red TV interview yesterday went to a full 67 minutes, and should be online in a week or so. I'm spending the day in London, checking the Luke Fowler exhibition at the Serpentine Gallery and a Dexter Sinister event at the ICA in the evening, before heading back to Berlin early tomorrow morning.

You should write a children's book about yourself as a young boy in winter and use that poster as cover art. I'm sure you could come up with a brief outline in fifteen minutes or less.

ha. well, the first two are off-center for sure (winter, europe: neither), but come on, you do work the cute angle and on more than one level. admit it.

Do you ever get bored with talking about yourself, Momus?

Momus! I'd like to thank you for your interesting blog. I am happy I can read your wise and amusing prose! I've learnt a lot of amazing stuff from your pages. So, THANK YOU very much. Yes, indeed.

I dunno, I was at the Highland Ballroom show and thought it had a real "Christmas in Stuttgart" feel to it. Especially Aki's dancing.

As usual, Momus gave off his typical Wyoming cattle driver vibe. He's much more American-seeming than he likes to let on.

yes, i am the culprit behind the poster!

although for some reason when it showed up on the highline's website all the colors were...weird.

this is how it's supposed to look:

Accidents can be a good thing. I really like the 'mistake' color palette better!

My fiancee, who has spun your music countless times on Princeton radio, was dying to go to your Philly show last week -- but to make sure she wasn't literally dying to go, she had to go to the hospital as she was very, very sick.

If you could please send her a nice message it would mean the world to her because she's really upset that this nasty illness prevented her from attending a rare Momustravaganza. E-mail me at trilonaut at yahoo dot com and I'll reply with her e-mail address.

Thanks for coming to Philly!
