A lull in the Oceanus Germanicus -- and on Click Opera

There will probably be a hiatus on Click Opera now for a few days; from later today until Tuesday 17th I'm voyaging with my mother across what this 1654 map calls the Oceanus Germanicus to the isles of Orkney and Shetland.



That doesn't mean there'll be no entries here, though; I'm sure I'll be able to find some open wifi in these far-flung Scottish islands and give you a culture shock-filled update or two. Well, sure-ish. Do they have wifi in 1654?
