What's going on? Click Opera is in retro-minimalist mode while Momus writes a book.

Well, at least scoop us out some old content, you post-digital bastard! Okay.

June 18th 2004: On this day Momus posted the most insanely rambling interview reply ever in response to a question by Charles Hatcher. In fact, it was prescient: this is very much the stuff of his New York art show of the following year (all about improvising in real time with language) and demonstrates the same Shandyesque techniques he's using today in his novel.

June 18th 2005: "I'm your fan, you're my orchestra," declares Momus to his favourite Belgians, the Fan Club Orchestra. There's a sound file with this one too, Fan Club Orchestra Live at HAU Theatre, 17.06.05. Don't take sides between feuding brothers Nicolas (DJ Elephant Power) and Laurent (Fan Club Orchestra); they're both great. Do talk about "Nursery School Formalism".

June 18th 2006: Five years in a Graniph shirt. Momus traces his life in these inventive t-shirts (he was even wearing one on 9/11) and notes the arrival of copycats Uniqlo (whose new UT store on the Meiji Dori -- very much a Graniph rip -- you can see here). The latest Graniph shirt Momus bought can be seen here, and marks a move away from Helvetica-style designs and towards more flowing shapes. Meanwhile, you can see a design Florence Manlik recently made for Graniph here.

Where is Momus today? In Berlin, checking out the Japanese poster design show at the Kunstbibliothek then creaming over the gorgeous, cheap, semi-uniform austerity of the Reclam editions in the bookshop.

Next Momus appearance: With Laila France and Kumisolo at the Fleche D'Or in Paris on June 29th.
