Celebrating our last evening in Japan, Hisae and Nao and I check out the retro dining (well, the film posters, anyway) under the Yurakucho JR tracks. See you next year, beloved motherland!

Aye, fare thee well ye bonnie lochs of Hokkaido, ye sunny braes of Honshu.
This is the part of peregrinations abroad that is only dispiriting...still Berlin is no unpleasant landing strip..and the jet lag is less of a bugger on the trip back.

Interesting posters, I can see Chaplin's The Great Dictator there but what about the rest?

The one on the left in the 4th image down (including the group shot with Mr. Momus there) looks like a Red Peony Gambler film poster. The two on the right in the 6th image down... that's Ken Takakura and Tomisaburo Wakayama, but I have no idea what movie it is. I need to find out, though! I want to see it!!

I like the face one of the actors do in the poster that is on the right just above the Chaplin poster.

Because the other day the mammaries (and legs, and so on) prompted a think piece (http://imomus.livejournal.com/291836.html). But old desire has a habit of turning into wistful, diffused affection, don't you find?

Thanks for the memories! Off to the airport!

All is well that ends well, but Momus please get a better camera.

Since you're so texturally minded, you might as well take more texturally pleasing photographs.

I just downsample them so you only have to load 500k rather than a megabyte. It's Photoshop, not the camera.
