This is the first round of a series of Wapening by Frog King in habitus. Since the 1960s, Kwok Mang-ho, aka Frog King, has never stopped happening- over and over again, he has made Happenings happen. As autumn gets ready to set in, bubbly and buoyant Frog King bumbles into habitus before retiring into hibernation. For two weeks, from day till night, he will fix his mind on being resolutely irresolute and seriously playful to engage with art happening in life and life happening in art.
During his residence in the attic, Frog King will perform live painting, sculpting, making installations and videos, taking photographs and making a variety of design objects. He has promised to sell what he makes, steadfastly upholding the 'For Me For You' ethic. Viewers could in turn play host, improvising with Frog King during the festivities. Others who may prefer some peace could bring along their personal objects and invite Frog King to transform them into unique design works. With Frog King as host, guests will surely feel at home.
